Airy courtyard inside the Burke House in Quiapo, Manila, as seen in this photo I took last Friday, Feast of the Black Nazarene. Residents celebrated the feast with a salu-salo and good company of friends and family.
Sadly, this could be their last merry-making inside the house. 15 days from now, they are expected to vacate their premises since a demolition permit has been served by the City Hall.
Still hoping that the more than a century of this house's existence as well as its relevance to the community of Quiapo will be recognized and preserved.
